By default, Market is configured to look for your ranking and market metrics in your city. This may prove inconsistent with your guests practice, whether your city is too small, or, on the contrary, very large.
You have the possibility to edit this: just go to your market settings and change the area to the destination of your choice.
We recommend you test that destination on Airbnb's search, just to check that there is no typo, and that Airbnb will give you the expected results.
Here are some examples from our users:
- St Louis county, MO,
- W12, London, United Kingdom,
- Downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, United States.
A word of warning: to be useful, we believe the area searched in must be quite large. If you are always coming up first, however heart-warming that may be, we recommend you test your listing into a bigger area. It will therefore be possible to get a more precise feedback on "Airbnb's opinion" of your listing and your performance.
